If you think a motorhome is just a practical means of transport, then you haven’t seen the RJH Independence. This rolling home exceeds all expectations of mobile living. Measuring 12 meters long and 4 meters high, this luxury vehicle is more of a loft on wheels than a typical motorhome. Built on the robust Mercedes-Benz Actros chassis with a total weight of 18,000 kg, it combines power, comfort, and independence.
Under the hood is a 12.8-liter six-cylinder engine with 550 hp – more than enough for mountainous terrain and long-distance travel. The driver’s cabin has been converted into a comfortable cockpit with four individual seats – perfect for travelling with family or friends.
An electric slide-out expands the living area and contributes to the open feel of the interior. Thanks to its clever layout, high-end finishes, and large real-glass windows and skylights, the space is filled with natural light, creating a bright and pleasant atmosphere.
At the rear is a heated garage with an electro-hydraulic lift system for carrying an additional vehicle – in this case, a compact Fiat 595 Abarth. This allows you to leave the motorhome parked while exploring the city in comfort.
The RJH Independence is designed for off-grid travel with maximum comfort on board. A 1,920 kWp solar system, Victron Quattro 5000 inverter, and 4,000 Ah lithium batteries enable extended stays without external infrastructure. Utilities include a 700-liter fresh water tank, 450-liter grey water tank, and 120-liter gas tank – all offering ample capacity.
Heating is provided by an ALDE 3030 Plus hot water system and a Webasto diesel heater. At the rear is the main bedroom, and above the cab there’s an integrated electric drop-down bed. The bathroom is fully equipped with a shower, toilet, and ceramic sink.
The kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher, and high-quality countertops. Outside, a gas burner is integrated – perfect for cooking outdoors beneath the six-metre awning with integrated LED lighting. A washer-dryer combo is also on board.
